    Why protect before ironing

Shine on dark trousers, sole marks on knitwear, flattened screen prints on a t-shirt: these damages are irreversible, and all avoidable. Protection creates a barrier between direct heat and delicate fibers: wool, silk, viscose, synthetics, and screen prints, which make up half of a modern wardrobe.

It's the cheapest and most profitable section of laundry. A 4.95 € net versus a wool sweater: the calculation is quickly made.

    Our range, piece by piece

The anti-scorch ironing net, sold in packs of two for 4.95 €, is placed over the garment and allows steam to pass through without direct contact. Reusable indefinitely, it protects knitwear, prints, and anything that might shine.

The portable ironing mats at 21.95 € play another role: they are heat-resistant, foldable cotton surfaces, to be placed on a table when you don't have an ironing board, or to take with you. The heat-resistant glove for steamers at 5.95 € complements vertical steaming: it protects the hand holding the fabric on the other side of the garment.

Inside out, or through a net

Shine comes from fibers being crushed by heat. Iron inside out when possible, through a net otherwise, at a moderate temperature and without pressing. The barrier diffuses heat and eliminates the risk, without extending the work.

The mat, the board for those who don't have one

An ironing mat can be placed on any hard, flat surface: worktop, dresser, an open suitcase in a hotel. It protects the furniture from heat and provides a clean surface. Its limitation is honest: it has neither the firmness nor the ventilation of a real board, so creases return faster on thick cotton. It's very useful in a pinch, but it doesn't replace a board.

Never just a towel on a bed, however: it's too soft, it absorbs the iron's motion and the crease remains. For delicate materials, our method for linen shows how to manage humidity and temperature without marking the fiber.

    Maintaining your protection items

The net should be rinsed with clear water and air-dried flat; it should not be machine washed. Cotton mats can be machine washed at 30 °C without fabric softener, which would leave a film. The glove can be cleaned with a sponge. None of these accessories are consumables: well-treated, they last for years.

    Delivery, payment and service

Free delivery and returns in France from the first euro, payment in 4 installments with Klarna or PayPal, 7/7 support, and a customer rating of 4.7/5. A section with small prices, but the same conditions as the rest of the store.

    Frequently asked questions

What is an ironing net used for?

To place on the garment during ironing: it allows steam to pass through but not direct contact with the iron soleplate. This prevents shine on wool, marks on prints, and scorching on synthetics.

How to iron a delicate garment without making it shiny?

Inside out when possible, through a net otherwise, at a moderate temperature and without pressing. Shine comes from fibers being crushed by heat: the barrier diffuses heat and completely prevents it.

What should I put under laundry to iron without a board?

A heat-resistant ironing mat, placed on a hard, flat surface. It protects the furniture and provides a clean base. The result is still inferior to a real board for thick cotton, but it's helpful anywhere.

Is the heat-resistant glove useful with a steamer?

Yes, whenever you steam on a hanger: the free hand holds the fabric on the other side, a few centimeters from the steam jet. Without a glove, you don't hold it as well, and you don't steam as effectively.

The process starts earlier: a garment well-spread on the clothesline adapted to your home comes to the iron with half as many wrinkles, and shirts placed on a hanger of the correct width sometimes don't need ironing at all.
