Design attracts the eye.
Comfort confirms the choice.
Different bathrooms, but the same goal: a model that blends into the room and remains pleasant to use every day.
We were looking for a towel dryer that was both aesthetically pleasing and practical. Once installed, the result is clean, the finishes are neat, and it brings real daily comfort.
After a few days of use, you can really feel the difference, especially in the morning or in winter. The towels are more pleasant and the look remains sleek in the room.
We needed a discreet model for a compact bathroom. The size is a good fit and it still looks elegant without cluttering the room.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Installation, power, Wi-Fi, finish: answers to avoid unpleasant surprises after ordering.
Which towel dryer should I choose if my renovation is still in progress?
If the wall is still accessible, truly recessed models like ICONA, CARBO, STÈLE, ORIZZO, SOLCO, MINIMA, MODULO, or FLUSH allow for the technical components to be integrated before finishes. If you want to avoid opening the wall, SENSO, FIVE, KINETIC, or SCALA are more suitable.
What is the difference between a wall-mounted model and a built-in wall model?
SENSO and FIVE are wall-mounted models: the body remains fixed to the wall, but you can choose between an outlet or concealed wiring. Recessed models require wall preparation to integrate their technical components before the wall is finished.
Can SENSO and FIVE work with a plug or without a visible cable?
Yes. Both offer either a plug-in connection or concealed wiring. The wiring can therefore disappear without making SENSO or FIVE recessed models.
My bathroom is already finished: can I still choose Aéraly?
Yes. SENSO and FIVE are the most straightforward choices for a design rendering without actual recessing. KINETIC is wall-mounted and plugs into the mains, while SCALA is free-standing and requires no drilling.
Horizontal or vertical: how to choose?
Start with your wall. A vertical format makes better use of a narrow area, while a horizontal format uses the available width and can facilitate certain compositions of multiple towels. The right choice depends first on your layout, then on the desired look.
Can an Aéraly towel dryer replace bathroom heating?
These models are primarily designed to heat and dry towels. Their power should not be solely relied upon to size the room's main heating system. If you need to heat the bathroom, plan for a system sized separately for this need.
How to choose the finish?
The easiest reference point is your tapware. A consistent finish between your mixer, accessories, and heated towel rail immediately gives the impression that the room has been designed as a cohesive whole. If you are unsure, send us a photo or your plan.
What does the Wi-Fi option allow?
On compatible models, the Smart Life or Tuya app can be used to control on/off, temperature, device status, timers, and recurring schedules. The controls on the device itself remain available.
I'm torn between two models. Can you help me before I order?
Yes. Send us a photo or a plan, the available dimensions and, if possible, the finish of your faucet. Our team will get back to you within 24 hours to help you make the right choice.

The towel warmer is just one detail of the project. Ensure the lines, materials, and finishes complement the rest of the room.
An electric towel dryer operates autonomously, independently of the boiler. A hot water model connects to the central heating circuit and switches off with it off-season. A dual-fuel model combines both.
| Family | Operation | When to choose |
|---|---|---|
| Electric | Autonomous resistance powered by the electrical panel | Works all year round, including when central heating is off. The solution for renovations, no hydraulic connection. |
| Hot water | Connected to the boiler or heat pump circuit | Gentle heat, cost linked to the home's energy. But no heat off-season. |
| Dual-fuel | Hot water circuit plus auxiliary electric resistance | Comfort all year round, at the cost of a double installation. |
In renovation, electric is almost always the choice: it avoids touching the hydraulic network and is installed on a simple dedicated circuit.
Within the electric family, four technologies coexist and do not offer the same comfort.
The choice depends on your usage. A short heating period programmed before a shower calls for a radiant or carbon fiber. A bathroom you want to keep constantly warm calls for a heat transfer fluid. A cold room to be quickly warmed up calls for a fan function.
The power is sized according to the room's surface and its insulation level. Two rules are sufficient, and they give very different results for the same bathroom.
Drying only: 50 to 60 W per m², or 300 W for a small 5 m² room.
Room heating: 100 W per m², or 500 W for the same room.
Increase: add 20% if the bathroom is poorly insulated or faces outdoors.
Installation height: 110 cm from the finished floor to the bottom of the appliance, outside protective zones.
These dimensions assume a ceiling height of 2.50 m and a properly insulated home. In a bathroom in the attic or in an old building, the 20% increase becomes a minimum.
The number of towels counts as much as the watts. One bar supports two bath towels without them touching. Two towels stacked on the same bar will not dry, they trap moisture and prolong the heating time. For a household of four people, a five-bar 100 W model dries better than a three-bar 130 W model.
The type of installation determines the work much more than the final look. It is decided before the work, not after.
| Installation | What it provides | What it requires |
|---|---|---|
| Recessed in the wall | The technical part disappears into the wall, only the bars remain visible. A real space saver. | Open partition, concealed wiring, planned reservation |
| Wall-mounted | Two fixing points on a dowel adapted to the support, direct replacement installation | A load-bearing wall and a nearby power supply |
| Freestanding | No drilling, no electrician, the appliance can be moved and follows you if you move | One outlet and one square meter of floor space |
The freestanding model solves a problem that others ignore: in a rental, drilling a bathroom wall is often not an option. A plug-in towel dryer solves the issue without work or authorization.
Conversely, recessing gives the most polished result but is never reversible. The body is installed during construction, with concealed wiring that requires a chase. If the wall is already tiled, only wall-mounted or freestanding is possible. Check the level during installation; a radiator installed crookedly is immediately visible on a tiled wall.
The size is chosen based on the available wall length, not on the room's surface area. A 40 cm wall between a door and a shower can only accommodate a vertical model, regardless of the bathroom's size.
The shape of the heating elements also varies: round tube for a classic look, flat blade for a contemporary line, solid panel for a massive look.
Measure the free wall length before looking at models. This is the criterion that eliminates the most options. Common dimensions range from 40 to 60 cm wide for a vertical, up to 90 cm for a horizontal.
A 500 W towel dryer used two hours a day consumes 1 kWh daily, which is about 20 cents at the regulated tariff. Over a seven-month heating season, this represents about forty euros.
Programming is the primary lever for savings, far ahead of technology. An appliance set to two 45-minute periods consumes two to three times less than the same appliance left running continuously. The second lever is sizing: an undersized model heats continuously without ever reaching its setpoint.
Three habits that reduce the bill
The energy performance of the room is as important as the appliance. In a renovated home meeting current standards, a 500 W model is sufficient where an old, poorly insulated home would require 700 W.
App control changes consumption more than heating technology. Connected models are controlled via Smart Life or Tuya apps: on and off, set temperature, device status, and especially recurring schedules. It is this latter function that makes the difference on the electricity bill, because it eliminates forgetting.
Touch control is present across the entire range, including on models without Wi-Fi. The integrated thermostat maintains the set temperature and cuts the resistance in cycles. The connected model adds remote programming; it does not replace local control.
The entire range is made of stainless steel, a choice that is not cosmetic in a humid room: galvanized or painted steel eventually rusts at welding points, where steam stagnates.
Eight colors and finishes are available: brushed silver, matte white, glossy chrome, brushed copper, anthracite grey, brushed nickel, matte black, and brushed gold. This allows you to match the appliance's style to that of the faucets.
Matte black and gold, what you need to know
These finishes hide water marks and limescale much better than chrome, making them pleasant for daily use. However, they do not tolerate acidic products: no white vinegar, no sanitary descaler. A microfiber cloth and soapy water are sufficient, and you should wipe rather than let them dry.
The range extends from €290 for a 65 W wall-mounted model to €540 for a recessed three-bar carbon fiber model. The price follows the heating technology and type of installation more than the power alone. A designer connected towel dryer costs around €380 to €460 depending on the number of bars. The manufacturer's warranty covers the resistance and control electronics.
An electric towel dryer must be installed outside the protective zones defined around the bathtub and shower, with an appropriate protection rating for its location. The standard takes precedence over all other considerations.
Connection to concealed wiring is done via a connection box, never a standard outlet. For a freestanding model, a socket is sufficient, and no electrician is needed.
Allow 100 W per square meter to heat the room, 50 to 60 W if the appliance is only used to dry towels. Increase by 20% in a poorly insulated home. The number of bars counts as much as the watts, with a maximum of two towels per bar.
Three families: autonomous electric, hot water connected to central heating, and dual-fuel. Within electric, four technologies: heat transfer fluid, radiant, carbon fiber, and fan heater. Three installations: recessed, wall-mounted, and freestanding.
First, check that the location is outside the bathroom's protective zones. Anchor according to the support, check the level, install 110 cm from the finished floor, leaving 15 cm above for air. A freestanding model plugs into an outlet, no drilling required.
It operates independently of the boiler, so all year round, including off-season. It dries towels between uses, which limits humidity odors, and programmable models only consume power during chosen periods.
The range extends from €290 for a 65 W wall-mounted model to €540 for a recessed three-bar carbon fiber model. The price follows the heating technology and type of installation more than the power alone.
First, measure the free wall length; this eliminates the most models. A vertical format accommodates 40 cm wide, a horizontal requires more length but less height. Allow 15 cm of clearance above.
The one that matches your installation and surface area. A 65 W wall-mounted model is sufficient for a small 4 m² room used for drying, while a 130 W recessed model is necessary for heating 8 m². The best choice is based on power and installation type.
The fan adds 600 to 1,000 W in instantaneous power, but it operates in short cycles on demand. Over the year, the difference remains moderate if it is not left running continuously.
