Lucas Morel writes Aéraly's bathroom guides, covering faucets, towel warmers, bathroom furniture, mirrors, and electrical considerations in wet areas. This page explains how those guides are written, which sources are used, and what you can expect from them.

Why this page exists

Anyone following installation advice should be able to see exactly where that guidance comes from. An incorrect faucet height can mean drilling the wrong hole in finished tile. Approximate electrical guidance in bathroom zone 2 can create a genuine safety risk in a wet environment.

A byline carries responsibility, and the method should stand up to scrutiny. Rather than asking you to take our word for it, this page sets out the process used for every article. You can verify it yourself: every published figure links back to its source, and every source can be opened.

Topics covered

Four core subject areas

  • Faucets and showers: installation dimensions, center-to-center spacing, mixers, showerheads, limescale, and unclogging
  • Bathroom heating and electrical: output, real-world energy use, NF C 15-100 requirements, IP ratings, and bathroom zones
  • Bathroom furniture, sinks, and mirrors: standard heights, dimensions, materials, and mounting on partition walls
  • Fixtures and bathroom planning: bathtubs, toilets, small spaces, humidity, and ventilation

The blog does not publish trend-driven “best of” lists or product roundups disguised as advice. It answers specific questions with dimensions, figures, and verifiable information. If a topic cannot be covered responsibly because reliable data is unavailable, it is not published.

How a guide is written

1. We start with the real question. Before writing, we review the questions people are actually asking about the topic in search results. The article answers those questions in the language people use, not the questions we assume they have.

2. Primary sources first. Any figure we cite links to the organization that produced it: an official pricing schedule, standards text, manufacturer documentation, or public agency. A media source is used only when the primary source is not available online, and both are identified in the sentence.

3. Verification before publication. Every outbound link is opened, and every figure is checked against the cited page. If a number cannot be verified, it is removed rather than rounded or approximated.

4. Dated updates. Articles containing prices, rates, or standards display the date of their latest review. Regulated electricity rates change twice a year, in February and August, and the relevant articles follow that schedule.

What you will not find here

  • Vague promises. No “quickly,” no “easily.” A timeframe, a dimension, or nothing.
  • Convenient data. If verified information reflects poorly on a product sold on the site, we publish it anyway. A towel warmer will not heat a poorly insulated bathroom effectively, and the guide covering its energy use states that plainly.
  • Biased reviews. Competing brands are mentioned neutrally, without active endorsement or disparagement.
  • Sponsored content. No third-party brand pays to appear in a guide.

Transparency about our relationship with Aéraly

Lucas Morel writes for Aéraly as an independent writer. He is not an employee of the company and does not receive compensation tied to site sales.

The blog is hosted by a retailer, and we do not hide that fact. Guides link to catalog collections when relevant to the subject. That commercial relationship exists, it is visible, and it does not change the factual content of the guides. An installation dimension remains an installation dimension regardless of the product displayed beside it.

Report an error or suggest a topic

An incorrect dimension, a broken link, or a standard that has changed: we welcome the heads-up and review every report. Email the site's contact address with the guide URL and the passage concerned. Material corrections are dated in the article rather than quietly changed.

You can also suggest a topic. Questions that come up most often with customer service regularly become guides, and they remain one of our strongest sources of useful ideas.
